MASSE RE-ELECTED VICE-CHAIR FOR CANADA-US INTER-PARLIAMENTARY GROUP
OTTAWA – Windsor West MP Brian Masse was re-elected as Vice-Chair to the Canada-United States Inter-Parliamentary Group Wednesday night at the Group’s Annual General Meeting. Masse has been re-elected a Vice-Chair and looks forward to continuing his work on cross border relations with his colleagues both in Canada and the United States.
“I am honoured to continue serving in the role of Vice-Chair. Coming from a busy border community, it is vital that we have a voice with both countries and this position allows me to continually highlight the importance of our community in Canadian Parliament and the respective United States federal and state legislatures,” Masse said.
The Canada-United States Inter-Parliamentary Group aims to find points of convergence in respective national policies, to initiate dialogue on points of divergence, to encourage the exchange of information, and to promote better understanding among legislators on shared issues of concern.
