MASSE PAYS TRIBUTE TO HONOURABLE DEEPAK OBHRAI M.P. ON BEHALF OF NDP

OTTAWA, ON – Brian Masse, MP (Windsor West), Dean of the NDP Caucus, today paid tribute in the House of Commons to the Honourable Deepak Obhrai MP and former Dean of the Conservative Caucus. As colleagues for Masse’s full tenure up to the end of the 42nd Parliament, Masse worked with Obhrai in the House of Commons for 17 years.

Deepak Obhrai was the Member of Parliament for Calgary East and Forest Lawn from 1997 until he passed away this past 2 August 2019, at the age of 69 from cancer. Obhrai was the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs during the Harper Government and ran for the Conservative Leadership in 2017.
