Discussions to focus on the International Digital Economy
TURIN, IT – Brian Masse NDP Caucus Critic for Innovation Science and Technology is attending the G7 discussions in Turin Italy with Minister Navdeep Bains. The meetings are a forum for senior policy makers and experts from across the globe to discuss international digital economy and the range of issues informing economic growth within this space.
Among the topics to be discussed will be international cyber-security, data management and ethics, applications of Artificial Intelligence and developing the multi-stakeholder approach necessary to develop the international digital economy.
Masse commented: “I am pleased to be able to accompany the Minister for these high level discussions in this crucial space. The global digital economy is here and will continue to develop. As policy makers we have a critical role to ensure that this economic activity can occur safely and that the application of the technology is always at a fundamental level enhancing quality of life at a human level for the greatest number of people.”
The meetings are on-going through to Wednesday.
