MASSE ATTENDING CONGRESSIONAL MEETINGS IN WASHINGTON DC
WASHINGTON D.C. – Brian Masse M.P. (NDP – Windsor West) is meeting with United States Congressional Members and Senators over the next three days to raise issues of joint concern including issues on NAFTA, our local border and other cross border concerns. He will also be meeting with Canadian Embassy officials and the Canadian-American Business Council on related issues of concern.
“Windsor border issues are always a priority when I am in Washington. Beyond just the construction processes at the two bridges between Detroit and Windsor, I will be discussing issues including Great Lakes restoration and protection, and the impacts of NAFTA on our people, resources, economies, and especially on the automotive and manufacturing industry,” said Masse.
As Vice-Chair of the Canada-U.S. Inter-Parliamentary Group, Mr. Masse represents the federal voice of Canadians regarding the possible challenges facing both Canada and the United States. Other topics of interest at these meetings include: overall Canada-US trade, perimeter security, and cybersecurity.
Mr. Masse is in Washington DC from May 14, 2018 – May 19, 2018.
