MASSE ATTENDING BILATERAL MEETINGS WITH MEMBERS OF THE US CONGRESS AS PART OF THE CANADA-US INTERPARLIAMENTARY GROUP FOCUSING ON TRADE & SECURITY
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Brian Masse MP (Windsor West), Vice Chair of the Canada-U.S. Inter- Parliamentary Group (CEUS), is in Washington with a delegation of other MPs and Senators, to have bilateral meetings with their counterparts consisting of U.S. Senators and Members of the US House of Representatives.
CEUS’s aim is to find points of convergence in the respective national policies, initiate dialogue on points of divergence, encourage exchanges of information, and promote better understanding between the two countries on shared issues of concern. Specific issues to be discussed during these meetings include critical minerals, softwood lumber, the Great Lakes, transportation, China, the Indo-pacific, NATO, NORAD, the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Arctic, and tourism.
