Mr. Brian Masse (Windsor West, NDP): Mr. Speaker, Canadians have legitimate concerns about what Ottawa is negotiating away to Europe. Canada's trade relationship with Europe is vital, but the Conservative capitulation means the cost of medication will skyrocket, manufacturing jobs will be lost, and even cities and town will lose their rights. Industry is concerned, cities are concerned, towns are concerned, and Canadian families are concerned.
Mr. Brian Masse (Windsor West, NDP): Madam Speaker, the Conservatives have an unusual way of reaching out. It is usually with the back of their hand to our face. That is the way they seem to approach the way to build bridges.

STATEMENT IN THE HOUSE OF COMMONS: Brian Masse MP-Asbestos Exports
Mr. Speaker,
These Conservatives sit on their hands as their Prime Minister exports cancer to the developing world.
Apparently it isn’t enough that the government dumps hundreds of thousands of tonnes of cancer-causing asbestos onto developing countries every year.
